ZHS Cheerleaders qualify to compete on a national stage

The girls are going to Nationals The Zephyrhills High School cheerleading squad will be competing for a national title in February at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort.

Zephyrhills will vie for the crown in the National High School Cheerleading Championship after qualifying at the regional competition last week.

Teams were credentialed in cheer safety and leadership training, endorsed by the National Federation of High School Sports (NFHS), as well as in the areas of crowd leading, spirit raising, ambassadorship, athleticism, and entertainment.

The Bulldogs cheerleaders will perform in an exclusive performance at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in the HP Field House, Visa Athletic Center or The AdventHealth Arena – the first ever building dedicated to exclusively hosting cheer and dance events.

Led by coach Robyn Schroeder, Zephyrhills will be competing in the Varsity Medium Game Day Non-Tumbling division.

The ZHS Varsity Competition Squad is Kennedy Arnot, Addison Bickerstaff, Arica Desrosiers, Caitlyn Eudy (Captain), Andrea Garcia (Captain), Lariah Graham, Aalailah Hicks, Kerstyn Innerbichler, Emily Kirk (Captain), Monica Leonard, Madison Long (Captain), Kaylin Miller, Hailey Staving, Saffron Stone, Alyssa Turmel, Sharibel Vazquez and Adrianna Wilner.

The cheerleaders were cheering again today after Wade Thomas of Thomas and Sons donated $3,000 to help the team with the expenses.
