Zephyrhills claim a pair of District Runner-up finishes
Zephyrhills boys weightlifting added a pair of trophies for the school’s new trophy case finishing with the team taking two district runner-up finishes.
The Bulldogs finished second to Auburndale in the Snatch and Traditional lifts. Nick Patrias at 199 pounds won the district title in the Snatch and Traditional. Kamil Mehrab (219), Theo Smith (238).
“I’d just like to express my gratitude for this team and all the hard work they have brought to the weightroom,” said first-year head coach James Aquilera. “These guy’s have done everything I’ve asked them to and I’m looking forward to finishing out the season strong.”
In addition Aguilera honored the 10 seniors on his squad; Rj Allen , Ayden Maranelli, Nick Sheldon , Jacob Smith, James Laferriere, Nick Patrias , Myzaiah Torres, Kamil Mehrab, Davion Bartley and Theotis Smith.
