A 23-year-old Zephyrhills man was arrested May 2 after he sent text messages threatening to “murder” his co-worker.
According to ZPD, Ian Dishman of Zephyrhills, was charged with felony written threats to kill, after sending the threatening text messages about his co-worker to his girlfriend. The girlfriend forwarded the messages to the victim.
Police said one message was, “I’ll murder her in broad daylight for trying to take something away from me out of jealousy.” The message was followed by, “I think she forgets I know where she works.”
Police located Dishman at his home and showed him a screenshot of the texts where he admitted to sending them. He said he was angry because the victim was causing drama in his relationship and he didn’t mean for things to go this far.
