A 30-year-old Dade City woman was arrested Jan. 30 on two counts of domestic battery after a front yard argument turned physical.

According to Zephyrhills Police, Brittney Mowrey of 38129 Sunset Ave. was involved in an argument in the front yard when she allegedly pushed one person to the ground and began choking her with both hands. She then punched another victim in the chin.

She refused to answer police questions, was placed under arrest and transported to Pasco County Jail.

A 34-year-old Land O’ Lakes woman was arrested Jan. 26 for possession of methamphetamine after a warrant check revealed she was wanted in two counties.

According to ZPD, Crystal Cowell of 8342 Ehren Cutoff, was searched by police after a warrant check came back that she had an outstanding warrant out o Hillsborough County and two more out of Pasco County. The search uncovered a clear baggie with a crystallized substance that field tested positive for crystal meth.

She was placed under arrest and transported to the Pasco County Jail.

 A 36-year-old Tampa man was arrested Jan. 27 on multiple drug charges and a weapons charge after a traffic stop led to the discovery of 260 grams of marijuana, 35 THC vape pen cartridges and a .22 pistol.

According to the complain affidavit, Ronnie Murray of 1216 East Northbay St. was stopped by Zephyrhills Police near the intersection of 8th Street and 10th Avenue. Police reported a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. A search of the vehicle uncovered the drugs and the weapon.

A criminal history check revealed Murray was a convicted felon resulting in the felon in possession of a firearm charge. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Pasco County Jail.

A 39-year-old Zephyrhills woman was arrested Jan. 28 on drug charges after she was pulled over by Zephyrhills Police for a brake light violation.

According to ZPD, Iouanna Ziatas of 6246 Silver Oaks Dr. was stopped at the intersection of US 301 and Paul Buchman Highway. A K9 responded to the scene, conducted an exterior sniff of the vehicle yielding an alert. A search of the vehicle revealed three plastic baggies totaling over 1.55 grams of fentanyl.

She was placed under arrest and transported to the Pasco County Jail.

A 70-year-old Zephyrhills man was arrested Jan. 29 for battery after he threw a clipboard at bank teller after he was told his $200 check would be held for two days.

According to Zephyrhills Police, Louis Desio of 37365 Northside Dr., was conducting business at Wells Fargo and became angry when the teller told him that bank policy calls for a two-day hold on his check.

He threw a standard-sized clipboard at the victim from three-feet away hitting her in the chest causing minor injury.

A 41-year-old Zephyrhills man was arrest Jan. 25 for battery and kidnapping false imprisonment after a domestic dispute.

According to ZPD, Bailon Sixtos of 5033 6th St. was in a 10-month relationship with the victim. The investigation determined Sixtos allegedly forcibly restrained the victim against her will preventing her from fleeing. Police added that Sixtos pushed the victim on the bed and then restrained her by holding her arms down as he attempted to have sex with her without her mission,

He was placed under arrest and transported to the Pasco County Jail.
