The Zephyrhills Little League celebrated the end of the 2023 regular season with closing day ceremonies at Sam Pasco Park.
League President Jan Spivey and board member Brandi Belford recognized every player from T-Ball to Senior League yesterday with the division winners receiving championship trophies and every player getting a photo plaque.
In addition, the All-Star teams for each division were announced. Play for the district All-Star tournaments begins June 16 at Sam Pasco Park.
In a season that started with practice in late January, opening day Feb. 25 and three months of action, the league provided an athletic and safe environment for nearly 500 players.
The league also recognized its volunteers of the year, the mother/daughter team of Amanda and Delaney Ward.
Once the celebrations ended, the real fun began with players being able to throw a pie in the face of their coach, knock their coach in the dunk tank and kick ball games.
