Bulldogs rout Pirates 73-20

The Nine Mile War on the hardwood wasn’t much of a battle as Zephyrhills leveled rival Pasco 73-20 on Alan Reed Court in the Dog House.

Preston Linville continued his hot shooting from three point range on his way to a game-high 17 points. Kayvion Roberts wasn’t far behind with 16 points with 14 of those coming in the second half. Jattorian Roberts reached double figures with 10.

The rout of Pasco (0-6) was on from the opening tip. The Bulldogs (6-0) jumped out to a modest 11-2 lead after the first quarter and then poured it on taking a 39-12 lead into the locker room at halftime.

The second half was much like the first as the Bulldogs extended the lead midway through the third quarter to 35 points leading to a running clock for the remainder of the game.

“Pasco is rebuilding from ground up,” said Zephyrhills coach Mike Novak. “These guys played together as a team and supported each other. They played hard tonight.”
