Members of Crescent Chapter Order of the Eastern Star in Zephyrhills met with Noon Rotary June 15 to make a presentation to Tracy Hanson of Caterpillars to Butterflies.
This presentation was funded by Noon Rotary and consisted of 74 tote bags and 17 blankets for foster children that have been removed from their homes.
The tote bags contained emergency items that the children would need such as toothbrush and toothpaste, body wash, shampoo, and novelty items such as crayons and color books. Noon Rotary helped purchase the fabric and the bags were made by a member of Crescent Chapter. Other members of Crescent Chapter helped furnish the supplies to put in the tote bags.
The organization aspires to create a civic unity between these two service organizations in the future.
