A Memorial Day Tribute Service will be held Monday, May 31 at Oakside Cemetery in Zephyrhills at 11 a.m. to pause and reflect on the sacrifices of the more than one million members of the US Armed Forces who made the ultimate sacrifices to secure our freedoms.
VFW Post 8154 will perform an opening prayer, a rifle salute, followed by the playing of Taps and closing prayer by VFW Honor Guard Chaplain Jeff Cook.
Volunteers are needed Saturday, May 29 at 8 a.m. to assist in placing more than 800 flags on the graves of service men and to retrieve them on Tuesday, June 1.
