Cyclist dies in Eiland Blvd. crash

Bicyclist killed on Eiland BVlvd

A 50-year-old Port Richey man riding a bike on Eiland Boulevard last night was struck and killed shortly before 11 p.m.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, the bicyclist was traveling northbound on Eiland Boulevard, south of Golf Links Boulevard, in the travel lane at night with no lights.

A Toyota Camry, driven by a 29-year-old Zephyrhills woman traveling northbound on Eiland Boulevard, overtook and collided

with the bicyclist who suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash. The driver of the car and the two young children passengers were uninjured.
