CARES celebrated its 50th Anniversary Monday by breaking ground a new 7,500 square foot Adult Day Care in Dade City.

President and CEO of the Dade City CARES center Jamith Rose contacted State Secretary of Agriculture Wilton Simpson about securing funding for a new center. Simpson stepped up by not only vowing to help find funding, but by donating two acres of land in Dade City for the center.

Ryman Construction Commercial was awarded the construction contract. The new Wilton Simpson Senior Center will open in about nine months.
