Zephyrhills Little League 9-11 All Stars made history Wednesday night with a 10-5 win over Land O’ Lakes to claim the league’s first District 13 baseball title since 1996.
In addition, the Zephyrhills Majors 12U softball team put on an impressive performance to add another district title to the league’s list with a dominant 13-3 over Dade City in five innings in a game ended by the 10-run mercy rule.
The wins bring the district title tally to four with minor softball taking a win and the boys’ 50/70 getting a bye to the sectional tournament.
Zephyrhills has a shot at another district championship banner tomorrow night in Dade City when the Majors 12U baseball team plays in the title game against Land O’ Lakes.
