The Zephyrhills Athletic League Flag and Junior squads are moving in the Mid Florida Football and Cheerleading Conference playoff following victories today in opening round action at Krusen Field.
The flag squad hoisted the District 2 championship trophy after soundly beating the Tampa Bay Ravens 27-6. The Juniors hung tough defeated the Ravens 20-19 to advance.
In other action, the Pee Wee squad dropped a heartbreaker to the Ravens 13-6 and the Mighty Mites fell 38-0 to the Ravens.
The Flag and Junior teams will move on to the second round of the playoffs with the ultimate goal of reaching the Super Bowl in Daytona in November.
