A 42-year-old Zephyrhills woman, a passenger in a pickup truck was killed and the driver of the truck was seriously injured after a two vehicle accident this morning on US 301just north of the entrance to Hillsborough River State Park, Florida Highway Patrol reported.
According FHP, an 18-year-old Riverview woman was traveling west on Ranch Road in a sedan and pulled into the path of a pickup truck traveling north on 301 shortly before 1:30 a.m.
Following the collision, the pickup truck, driven by a 42-year-old Zephyrhills man, traveled off the highway overturned, and collided with a fence. As truck overturned, a passenger was ejected from the vehicle and suffered fatal injuries. The report states she was not wearing a seatbelt.
Driver and passenger of the car suffered minor injuries.
