Fireworks display and community event set for July 4
The sky over Zephyr Park will light up with fireworks again July 4.
After taking a year off because of COVID-19, SummerFest returns to Zephyr Park on July 4 for a huge Independence Day celebration that will last throughout the day.
Beginning at Noon, SummerFest kicks off with community contests like watermelon eating contests, hot dog eating contest and a kid’s dance-off. There will be free giveaways, raffles and the sounds of DJ Express.
Live bands will fill the evening air starting at 5:30 p.m. with twp of Tampa Bay’s favorite new country artists, Fast4Ward and Crossfire Creek Band. The bands will play until sunset leading up to the 30-minute fireworks display over Zephyr Lake. Seating is limited. Bring lawn chairs, blankets, and coolers for maximum comfort around the lake.
The event includes a vendor market with hand-made home decor, soap, local cottage bakers, artisans, jewelers, and fun patriotic items and glow toys to take home.
There will be several bounce houses and waterslides with a $5 bounce-all-day kid wristband. Proceeds will benefit the local Samaritan Project charity from Zephyrhills.
To satisfy the taste buds, food trucks and dessert vendors will have plenty of festival food for sale including cool treats, drinks and eats. Vendors all accept cash or card.
