A 33-year-old Canadian skydiver is dead following a skydiving accident early this afternoon at Skydive City in Zephyrhills.
According to Zephyrhills Police, at 1:19 p.m. James Southam of British Columbia, Canada was transported by Pasco County Fire Rescue to Lakeland Regional Health with severe injuries following a “hard landing.” He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
ZPD detectives and crime scene investigator were on scene for further investigation. The investigation is ongoing.
