Fatal Shooting
The Zephyrhills Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred today at approximately 12:18 a.m.
The incident has led to the arrest of 38-year-old Mina Foad, an Egyptian male, who is currently in custody in connection with the death of a 40-year-old male victim.
Officers responded to reports of a disturbance at 7092 Steer Blade Drive, where they discovered the victim with an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to St. Joseph’s Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Police identified Foad as the suspect, and he was arrested and charged with manslaughter early this morning in connection with the shooting.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing. Authorities identified this as an isolated incident with no additional risk to the community.
