Zephyrhills house fire claims one life
A house fire on Champions Gate Boulevard claimed the life of one person this morning, according to Pasco County Fire Rescue.
Firefighters responded at 6:45 a.m. to the two-story home with smoke on the second floor. Firefighters were told that a person was still in the home and attempted to perform a rescue. Unfortunately the person did not survive.
