If you’re looking for one of those heartwarming Christmas stories where a deserving family actually gets what they deserve, well here it is…
After what has been an incredibly tough year for so many, Ryman Roofing paid it forward to a family that works hard, goes above and beyond and never asks for help. The Conner’s definitely fit the bill.
The Conner family of Zephyrhills were surprised Wednesday with the gift of a new roof compliments of Ryman Roofing’s annual Holiday Re-Roof contest.
The Conner’s were nominated for the gift, but it was the family’s big hearts that won them the prize.
Scott Conner, a first responder and military veteran, must have passed his desire to serve community and family on to his wife and children. His wife home schools three children. The eldest child volunteers handing our food baskets at Burks Park in Dade City and the middle child fosters kittens getting them ready for adoption. On top of that list, they take care of an elderly grandparent.
While it all seems like the makings of a Hallmark movie, it is very much real. Scott Conner knows there is a list of home improvement projects on a tight budget and a new roof was going to be a financial struggle. With a “We’ll find a way” attitude towards life and a strong call to help others in need, the Conner’s can see one big struggle is gone compliments of Ryman Roofing.
Also on hand were members of the Zephyrhills Police Department, Pasco Sheriff’s Office and Pasco County Fire Rescue to help pull off the big surprise this year. They came through with all the bells and whistles to spread some joy.
