
A 75-year-old Zephyrhills man died today in a multiple vehicle crash at the intersection of US 301 and Kossik Road, Florida Highway Patrol reported.
According to FHP, at 2:30 p.m., a Ford Ranger, driven by the 75-year-old Zephyrhills man, was traveling southbound on US-301 and an Audi A3, driven by a 26-year-old Tarpon Springs man, was also traveling southbound on 301 when at the intersection of Kossik Road, the driver of the pickup turned left into the path of and was struck by the Audi.
Upon impact, the Audi was redirected and collided with a Toyota Camry, driven by a 60-year-old Plant City woman, which was stopped for a red traffic signal while traveling eastbound on Kossik Road.
The driver of the truck suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash. Drivers of both other vehicles suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to area hospitals. Two passengers traveling in the Toyota, one of which suffered no injuries, while another suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was likewise transported to an area hospital.
