The Zephyrhills High School girls’ soccer team closed out its regular season in unforgettable fashion Friday night, honoring 12 seniors before powering to a 6–0 win over Weeki Wachee.
In a heartfelt pre-game ceremony, each senior walked down the center of the field arm-in-arm with family and friends. The procession passed through a ceremonial sabre arch formed by members of the ZHS JROTC, adding a proud and celebratory touch to the night. Players were presented with gifts as personalized thank-you messages—written in advance by each senior—were read aloud to the crowd.
The seniors honored during the ceremony were: Ariana Cotto, Cheyenne Dempsey, Eliza Maldonado, Haweyo Farah, Jaka Barkowski, Jorgeliz Suarez-Ayala, Judith Audette, Kacia Wager, Zaniya Lipsey, Autumn Paul, Hailey Pabon, and Jessie Starnes.
The festivities set the stage for one of the team’s strongest performances of the year. The convincing 6–0 victory provided a much-needed boost for the Lady Bulldogs, improving their record to 3–17 and giving the seniors a memorable sendoff in their final regular-season appearance.
Scoring for the Bulldogs were Cotto, Starnes, Lipsey, Audette, Addyson Coats and Kyndal McMillan.
With the regular season now complete, the Lady Bulldogs will shift their focus to postseason play—carrying with them the energy, pride, and emotion of a night dedicated to celebrating commitment, growth, and leadership.
