The wait is over. Friday night shine bright tonight as the Zephyrhills High School Bulldogs open their 2025 regular season on the road against Springstead in what promises to be a charged atmosphere of community pride, tradition, and high school football.
The Bulldogs enter the season with high expectations under Head Coach Nick Carroll, who is now in his 10th year leading the program. Zephyrhills is coming off an impressive 8-4 campaign that ended in the second round of the Class 4A state playoffs, and with four straight district championships already secured, the Bulldogs are gunning for a fifth consecutive crown.
Springstead, meanwhile, looks to spoil the Bulldogs’ opener for the second year in a row and make an early statement of its own. The Eagles return a physical defense and a rushing attack capable of grinding down opponents.
Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m., and the stands are expected to be full as fans pack in for the first official look at this year’s squad. The Bulldogs’ schedule features plenty of marquee moments ahead, including a rivalry clash with Pasco on Sept. 26 and a highly anticipated Homecoming matchup against Gulf on Sept. 19.
But for now, all eyes are on tonight’s showdown. For Zephyrhills, it’s not just about starting the season with a win — it’s about setting the tone for another championship run.
