The Zephyrhills Police Department has arrested Justin Love, a 35-year-old white male, in connection with a recent vandalism incident at a city wastewater lift station.
The event involved the intentional cutting of a communication wire vital to the facility’s operation, located at 6481 20th St, Zephyrhills, FL 33542. At this time, Love is facing charges related to trespassing and damaging critical infrastructure. Love was initially identified through surveillance footage, which captured him riding a red bicycle near one of the locations.
While the arrest marks a significant development in the case, the investigation remains active as detectives work to determine whether additional individuals or incidents are connected. Preliminary interviews suggest the damage to the stations does not appear to have been a targeted attack on city infrastructure but rather random acts with no apparent motive.
ZPD appreciates the assistance from the public, which helped them identify and locate the individual responsible.
Anyone with further information about these incidents—or who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the affected areas—is urged to contact the Zephyrhills Police Department at 813-780-0050.
