Cameron Brady and Kelsey’s House: The gifts that keeps on giving

To say Cameron Brady came from humble beginnings is a massive understatement. He remembers when teachers used to give him a brown bag of food at school knowing he came to school hungry. Those acts of kindness stuck with him.

Memories like those and so many others are what helps Brady keep his Kesley’s House Foundation aiding those people and organizations who need it.

His mind keeps spitting out the memories of his childhood and his heart keeps pouring out financial help. He knows that blessing others is the best way to be blessed. It’s the way he lives his life.

“It’s who I am,” Brady said.” I was that little kid who was starving. I know the feeling. I will continue to give.”

Kelsey’s House, inspired by Brady’s daughter Kelsey, who has cerebral palsy, is about “opening doors and changing lives” through the power of giving. The charity’s mission is directly supporting underprivileged children, families in need, and youth sports in the Zephyrhills community.

Kelsey’s House gives directly to those who need it most, without intermediaries. Every donation goes straight to helping local families, ensuring that the support is immediate and impactful.

From financial assistance to families facing hardship to supporting youth sports teams and providing vital resources to children with special needs, Kelsey’s House is committed to making a difference.

Brady recently lost his dear friend and mentor, Gary First. He is still reeling from the loss, so much that he has caught himself calling First on the phone before remembering there won’t be that familiar caring voice on the other end.

In a recent act of giving, Brady donated a golf cart to Zephyrhills Little League and to honor his dear friend, he donated in the “Loving Memory of Gary First.” A decal on the front of the cart celebrating First’s memory.

Although he gives upwards to $5,000 monthly to those in need, he stays awake at night wondering if he did enough. Did he help enough people? What else can he do? What did he miss?

“There has to be more,” Brady said. “There are many times when I grateful and I know I need to slow down and smell the roses. To come from where I came from and to be able to help is a blessing.”

Golfers from throughout the Tampa Bay Area will tee it up again July 5 for the Red White and Blue three-man golf scramble at Scotland Yards Golf Club Sunday to raise money for Kelsey’s House Inc. to continue to help local underprivileged children and families.

The generosity of golfers has been the key to Kelsey House success and Brady appreciates every person who helps him raise more money for the cause.
