Fresh off a Championship win at the U.S. Open Basketball Finals in Raliegh, North Carolina, 6’4 Sophomore / Forward, Lance Stallworth and 6’0 Sophomore Guard, Keon Berkley have both joined the squad of Pasco- Hernando’s Elite Basketball powerhouse Zephyrhills Christian Academy. Stallworth joins the program as a transfer from Cypress Creek and Berkley as a transfer from Wiregrass Ranch High School.
The Hoop Nightmare 1-2 combination of Berkley and Stallworth averaged 35 points in tournament play and now head to the ZCA Warriors with high expectations for receiving the elevated player development Coaches Spence Jones and Lawrence Maroney are known for.
“We are very proud of the boys” says Wiregrass Ranch Sports Complex General Manager and Director of Basketball Operations Ronnie Outen. Stallworth has been under Outen’s coaching tutelage since age 8, and his execution of strong fundamentals and court IQ are proof positive that the Basketball Youth Development Programs at Wiregrass Ranch are among the best in the Tampa-St. Pete Metro Area.
“We strive to give the kids in our programs the solid fundamentals they need to play competitive basketball”, said Outen. “The sky is the limit for those that put the required work in and have strong parental support. Under Coaches Jones and Maroney, Lance and Keon have the potential to become elite players, and I am truly excited for them and believe there will be a lot of community and business supporters rooting for their success.”
During the 2025–26 winter season, the Warriors achieved a major milestone by cracking the Sports Illustrated National Top 25 rankings (reaching as high as #24). They were the first team in the Pasco–Hernando community to ever accomplish this.
Wiregrass Ranch recently completed renovation of all of its basketball courts will be offering a full range of skill development and competitive athletic programs in September.
