Jarrett Ford has officially turned the page to a new chapter in its more than 40-year history in Dade City, celebrating the opening of its sprawling new dealership with a ribbon-cutting ceremony held Friday.
The family-owned business, which has long operated at 38300 Dick Jarrett Way, welcomed hundreds of community members, local leaders, and longtime customers to its brand-new, 70,000-square-foot facility at 12621 US 301, located on an 11.5-acre property next to Winn-Dixie near Morningside Drive.
For General Manager Sid Jarrett, the event was as emotional as it was exciting. Greeting guests with the pride of someone unveiling years of hard work, he thanked the many people who helped bring the project to life.
“I want to thank all my family, friends, everybody that worked through this,” he said. “It was stressful at times. My wife knows how stressful that was—she helped me out a lot, so thank you. Employees, we could not be here without you. Everything you’ve done, your dedication, your hard work, for our family, I can’t thank you enough.”
The new dealership represents not just growth, but heritage. The Jarrett family’s connection to Ford stretches back generations. Dick Jarrett, who purchased the Dade City dealership in 1978, spent decades building a reputation rooted in community support—a value he instilled in his children and grandchildren.
“Ford Motor Company is a family business started by Henry… in 1903, and to this day, it is still a family business,” Brian Jarrett said, noting that his father’s career with Ford began in the 1940s. Sid, now the third generation in the business, began work on the new dealership design three and a half years ago.
For Brian Jarrett, the ribbon-cutting was a reminder of those early lessons.
“When my father got here in 1978, his motto that he drilled into me was: if you support your community, they will support you,” Brian said. “He was involved in everything in Dade City, from the schools to the Little League—anything that needed help. And he drilled that into all of us. Sid has come and done such a great job here in Dade City, following in his grandfather’s steps.”
The event also drew praise from Elena Ford, great-granddaughter of Ford founder Henry Ford and a leader within the company. She commended the Jarrett family for embracing the brand’s vision.
“They saw the new design that we’re launching, and they incorporated many of the things we have—open spaces, open offices, really making it customer-centric,” she said. “That’s what we’re about: customer centricity and making sure customers love their experience at Ford Motor Company.”
With its new home now open, Jarrett Ford begins its next era—one that honors its roots, embraces modern innovation, and continues its family tradition of serving the community that has supported it for more than four decades.
