Dozens of local children woke up Christmas morning to gifts under the tree thanks to the efforts of Kelsey’s House, which wrapped up its annual toy drive with a successful giveaway Tuesday afternoon.
The nonprofit distributed toys to pre-registered families Tuesday, Dec. 23, at Bennett Septic’s offices on Gall Boulevard in Zephyrhills, helping ensure children in need could experience the joy of Christmas morning. Each registered child received two gifts through the program.
The toy drive, held throughout the holiday season, drew strong support from the community. Donations from individuals and organizations poured in, and volunteers worked Tuesday to sort and distribute toys in an organized and welcoming setting.
Kelsey’s House expressed appreciation to the many donors, volunteers, and community partners who made the effort possible, noting the toy drive is just one of several initiatives aimed at supporting local families throughout the year.
“This is the time for giving,” said Cameron Brady, founder of Kelsey’s House. “Everyday is the time for giving and helping people. We can’t thank the people enough who helped us with this toy drive and giveaway.”
Brady said that while this was the inaugural holiday toy drive for Kelsey’s House, the event will continue and be bigger and better next year.
