A quiet residential area in Zephyrhills was rocked early Wednesday morning by what authorities are investigating as a domestic-related murder-suicide.
Pasco County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a call in the Brackett Bend neighborhood just after 3:35 a.m. on December 17. Upon arrival, they discovered an adult male and an adult female deceased from apparent gunshot wounds.
Preliminary findings indicate the man fatally shot the woman before turning the gun on himself. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
Sheriff’s officials have described the incident as isolated, emphasizing that there is no ongoing threat to the surrounding community or public safety.
The investigation is still active, and authorities have not released the identities of the individuals involved or any further details at this time.
