Bulldogs Dominate Rival Pasco in Homecoming Victory, Improve to 6-0

Zephyrhills celebrated Homecoming in style Friday night, routing rival Pasco 49-12 at Bulldog Stadium to remain unbeaten on the season. The Bulldogs improved to a perfect 6-0 behind a balanced attack and a fired-up homecoming crowd.

Running back Roe Miller set the tone early, powering into the end zone twice in the first quarter to give Zephyrhills a 13-0 lead. By halftime, the Bulldogs had blown the game open. Miller added his third rushing touchdown of the night, while quarterback Patrick Harding connected with Sanyiin Black for two scores. The Bulldogs took a commanding 35-6 lead into the locker room.

The dominance continued in the second half. Graylon Johnson punched in a rushing touchdown, and Bear Keating added to the highlight reel by hitting Kingston McCullough on a touchdown pass. By the time the fourth quarter began, the Bulldogs had stretched their lead to 49-6.

Head coach Nick Carroll emphasized the significance of the rivalry game and the homecoming atmosphere.

“I told them that there were different games that you’re gonna remember, and Pasco is one of them,” Carroll said. “Regardless of what the records are, you’ll never forget that game. So, we put a lot of huge emphasis on making sure this was an important game. With it being homecoming, I told the kids that there’s gonna be a lot of people here. So, I’m happy for our coaches and for our kids. Now they get to have a good time tomorrow night, dress up, celebrate, and enjoy what homecoming really is.”

The night wasn’t just about football. Halftime festivities crowned the Homecoming court, with Zachary Carroll and Emma Contrares named Prince and Princess, and Ethan Stone and Kylie Graef honored as King and Queen.

With the big win, Zephyrhills now turns its focus to the bye week before hitting the road for three straight games.
