Zephyrhills Aims for 5-0 Start Against Gulf at Tom Fisher Field

The Zephyrhills Bulldogs are looking to stay perfect as they take the field tonight against Gulf at Tom Fisher Field at Bulldog Stadium, hoping to improve to 5-0 on the season.

Through the first four weeks, Zephyrhills has been nothing short of dominant. The Bulldogs have outscored opponents 146-23, with three of those wins so one-sided they triggered a continuous running clock.

Quarterback Patrick Harding has been at the center of the offensive surge, throwing for nine touchdowns and 715 yards while adding two more scores on the ground. Running back Roe Miller has been a force in the backfield, averaging 131 rushing yards per game with five touchdowns to his name. Harding’s top targets, Kingston McCullough (four touchdowns) and Deori Pope (three touchdowns), have given defenses fits in the passing game.

As explosive as the offense has been, the defense may be even more impressive. Zephyrhills is allowing less than six points per contest, led by linebackers Zac Carroll and Khyrii Everett, who have combined for 69 tackles and 16 tackles for loss. The secondary has been lockdown as well, snagging seven interceptions already this season.

Tonight’s matchup carries extra energy as the ZHS cheerleaders welcome the Junior Bulldogs, who will help rally the home crowd. A special cheer performance is also planned for halftime.

Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. tonight, with Zephyrhills looking to extend its unbeaten run and make another statement in front of the home fans.
