The Zephyrhills Police Department proudly welcomed two new officers to its ranks this week, as Officer Noah Yanzer and Officer Adina Burke were officially sworn in during Monday night’s City Council meeting. Chief Derek Brewer administered the oath of office, marking a significant milestone in both officers’ law enforcement careers.
Officer Noah Yanzer hails from Mukwonago, Wisconsin, where a strong sense of community first sparked his interest in public service. A graduate of Saint Petersburg College, Yanzer brings with him a passion for community engagement and a diverse set of hobbies including guitar playing, hunting, and competitive shooting. He expressed deep gratitude for the unwavering support of his family and friends, with special appreciation for his son, as he begins this next chapter of service in Zephyrhills.
Officer Adina Burke grew up in a military household in Abilene, Texas, where she learned the value of service and sacrifice from an early age. A 2023 graduate of St. Johns River State College, Burke enjoys spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, and playing golf. She credits her parents and her boyfriend for their continued encouragement and support throughout her journey into law enforcement.
“We’re thrilled to have Officers Yanzer and Burke join the Zephyrhills Police Department,” said Chief Brewer. “Their dedication to service and commitment to the community align perfectly with our department’s mission.”
