The 2025 Zephyrhills Little League season is in the books with 31 teams recognized Saturday at the league’s closing ceremonies at Sam Pasco Park.
The league had more than 380 players in a season that started in February and wrapped up last week. Division champions were crowned in seven age groups and the eight All-Star Teams were announced.
In a special presentation, Zephyrhills Little League President Chris Matthews presented plaques to seven players who went through the Little League program and completed their season of softball or baseball at Zephyrhills High School. Honored were Hope Tackett, Isabella Rivera, Laila Woolfolk, Emily Mohler, Hannah Wadyka, Dakota Deck and Randy Mata.
Matthews, who will step down from his post after the post-season, was also honored by player agents Tiana Brown and Aimee Collins.
Each player received a plaque with their photo and the division champions received trophies. All Star Team members received medals as well. Participation medals were presented to T-ball and coach-pitch players.
Post-season District 13 tournaments start June 8 and 9 with many divisions playing at Sam Pasco Park in Zephyrhills.
