Surrounded by teammates, family and coaches, Zephyrhills High School state champion weightlifter Malachi Woodard put pen to paper Wednesday signing a nation letter of intent to continue his academic and athletic career at Lindenwood University.
During a signing event held at the ZHS weightroom with his coach James Aguilera, Woodard thanked his family teammates and coaches for making his dream a reality.
“I’m glad everyone here was with me during this journey,” Woodard said. “I was to thank Coach Ag. for everything and pushing me. I want to thank all my coaches who taught me valuable lessons to make me who I am today.
“I want to thank all the people behind me who helped me be great. I am really glad to be part of this team and part of this school.”
