While the investigation is ongoing, the Pasco Sheriff’s Office has made an arrest was made in connection with a shooting death that happened earlier today in the Hill Drive area of Zephyrhills.
According to PSO, Joel Heredia, 39, was arrested for 2nd Degree Homicide and felon in possession of a firearm.
PSO reported that preliminary information indicates that an argument between two adult men, who are known to each other, escalated, one adult man shot another adult man.
The adult man who was shot was transported for medical attention and has been pronounced deceased. Heredia allegedly left the scene of the shooting prior to law enforcement’s arrival.
The investigation continues as Pasco Sheriff’s Office look into the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Additional details will be released as they become available.
